The city of Newport Beach has not posted the number of restaurants open in Newport Beach restaurants as of Friday morning.
But the Newport News Bee has learned the number has increased to 562.
The number includes a number of restaurant that were closed in January, but were reopened as of February.
The Bee first reported the increase.
In late January, the city of Richmond had reported more than 7,000 restaurants in Newport Harbor, a few hundred of which are open.
Richmond reported more open restaurants in January than Newport Beach, and fewer closed restaurants in Richmond.
The new statistics show the city has a population of more than 11,000.
The city of Huntington Beach has a total of 5,600 restaurants in restaurants open at least two months, the Bee has found.
The state of Rhode Island has more than 1,000 open restaurants, and the city is the state’s largest.
The Newport Beach restaurant number is up from a January estimate of fewer than 300 restaurants.
